Pros

Softworld was very aggressive in finding me a job. They gave me good support in advance of my interview. Once I got the job, they kept in touch to make sure I was all right for the first few months.

Cons

When the Government came out with the Sequestration, I made it through the first round of cuts. I lasted another 3 months before I was let go. I told my contact at Softworld with a month's notice, but did not receive any help or feedback.

Pros

Better base salary and commission plan than other agencies, but this did not make up for the awful treatment from management

Cons

-Rude managers and team; will quite often receive verbally abusive emails even if you are working very hard -Management and sales team will never answer your calls/return calls or emails when you have questions, then when things go wrong you will solely get blamed even though you were trying to communicate any issues with them -Will not receive any praise for any big or tough deals you closed -0 time to spend with your children at the end of the day; will be expected to work late hours and/or weekends I would highly discourage anyone from taking a recruiting position at Softworld. Not only is there 0 work-life balance, but they will talk down to you and belittle you. They don't care how hard you are working, or if you closed big deals for them. You will get no praise or congrats for any of those tough positions. And if you're not willing to go out and drink with them, you won't get very far. I have worked at a few staffing agencies before, and was able to balance having children and being a recruiter. I was treated with respect and praised for my hard work. But not here. Also, if you like to get clarity on job descriptions before working on them, don't expect that here. 90% of the sales team do not answer or return your calls. When you find problems or things going wrong, management will not answer your calls, but they will have no problem sending your verbally abusive emails when things seem to be going wrong, which could have been resolved if they responded to your call/email in the first place. One manager in particular would call me during our 1:1's and talk poorly of other people she moved into manager or lead roles, or other recruiters, even after I was only on the job for a few days/weeks. It was very unprofessional behavior. It made me wonder what she was saying about me to others on the team. Overall, I was very uncomfortable being there as a result of this. Just do not work here. Don't do it. There are other places who will value you as a recruiter, treat you like a real person and with the respect you deserve.
