Don't Practice What They Preach

Pros

Co-workers are open to discuss cases and there's a supportive environment. The pay is higher than most SW jobs in Solano County.

Cons

Operating as a small county that's rapidly becoming a big county. Very little support on learning all of the processes in each role that are typically handled by designated units in larger counties. For example, social workers must complete many legal documents (ex: ICWA) where in other counties legal units or ICWA units handle these specific tasks. Therefore, there is much more on the plate of the social worker than in other counties.
