Supply Chain Is Awful

Pros

My Peers are mostly nice and the work can be rewarding

Cons

New managers are from Texas and are absolutely the worst. I don't want to say there real names so I'll call them Bill and Reuben. They have single handily destroyed the morale and culture of the Supply Chain. Many personal in the group are looking for other jobs because of these guys. I've only been in the company for around 10 years but coming from other groups it is most definitely the worst. Stay far away from here and get a job elsewhere. Work/life balance is discouraged and "Reuben" brags about woking so much.

Pros

Work life balance and company culture I are great. You can make great friends here. There is a fair bit of freedom at Solar to make each position your own and grow within it. There is a mentor system in place which is great and, in general, it is a fun and challenging place to work. Their “customer first” and “win the right way” approach to doing business is a winning formula as well.

Cons

Solar is very stingy with promotions and pay raises. They have in the past used a bell curve approach to giving out raises and promotions and, in general, it is based on years of experience even if you are a stellar performer. You'll get a lot of praise for going above and beyond but that doesn’t usually translate into similarly appropriate pay raises.

If management doesn't like you they find a way to make you quit!

Pros

Stable company, pay and benefits are good

Cons

Poor management, Production is paramount over employee concerns. Unqualified people in leadership positions no opportunities for employees with experience or knowledge to promote. Only people that are "yes men" get promoted.
