-Many sites for potential relocation if ever needed. There is a fair amount of advancement opportunity. -The safety culture is taken very seriously. Employees are generally well treated, and Sonoco accommodates well to avoid hazards. -Sonoco puts a lot of effort to keep employees informed each quarter to review company performance and initiatives. -Job security is traditionally stable if performance is adequate even during slower periods.

Cons

-Company at times is significantly slow in filling vacancies, often opting to reduce head count, placing additional responsibility on remaining employees with no compensation increase. -Corporate departments at HQ are not always easy to work with. They are often entrenched and force others business units to adhere. This provides little support and guidance to solve even basic problems.
