      The people are caring and nice The company has a diversified portfolio of products and stable financial record they will try and pay for your development

      Cons

      Hartsville is small, not easy to travel to places from there and not much to do either, so it is not for everyone. The town and the area is a little run down not a lot of opportunities for people. Lack marketing resources Sonoco is a B2B company, so marketing is not a major component to the overall strategy of the company. Sonoco is engineering and sales company for the most part, so operations and engineering really dictate the overall plans for the company, which tend to be reactive business customer needs

      Pros

      1) We are treated very good. Even after a few layoffs at our plant, Sonoco tried hard to get displaced employees into other Sonoco locations. 2) our management team is very open minded and works with its employees.

      Cons

      1) Insurance isn't the greatest, but who's is. 2) I don't get to see my family during the week since we do not rotate shifts and I am on 2nd shift.
