Pros
I am really impressed about the way Sonoco is involving and motivating people to reach the targets. Sonoco gives to each individual the freedom to develop own strategies allowing to take ownership and responsibility. It is also impressive the importance that the Sonoco is giving to develop personal competencies in order to bring people at the required level for each position. The diversity of people and cultures is huge in Sonoco and great is the way Sonoco manages this aspect.
Cons
Regarding the consumer division, I would expect to bring more product innovations to the market as this could help to open doors and bring more opportunities to the business. This should also help to change the market perception vs some of our packaging proposals (i.e. composite can is seen as a very traditional packaging solution w/o innovations since years). We should also work on "the speed to market" as this is a crucial aspect in today competitive environment.
