Pros

One of the few companies of this size where you will work with a world class team, across most functions. A great learning opportunity. Strong sense of culture and values, an excellent CEO and a clear vision for the future of the company. A dedication to customers and crafting the right product. A genuine point of view; whether on diversity in tech, rights for musicians or net neutrality. This is no faceless corporate.

Cons

At times, chaotic - still maturing from start up to medium size company. Poor people development - though may change under new HR leadership. Multiple HQs and remote teams - forces all to communicate better and more often but can be challenging for managers.

Pros

The people is the main part why sonos is amazing, you will engage in mostly positive lasting relationships amongs colleagues. The Equipment consists of a high-end computer, 2 decent monitors and a speaker at everyones desk. Local test lab with every team, that includes each product sonos has ever put on the market. Snacks at 10 and 14, free coffee and beverages. There is a free* buffet at the main part of the companys building, which is a small sum every month out of your wages. Few other pros that I unfortunately cannot disclose.

Cons

Management, no proper development path, in-progress-knowledgbase and the food. Certain teamleaders can sometimes make professional matters personal and let it bleed into their work persona. There is no actual development path in sonos, most of the positions are taken by young competent individuals, who has no intention of leaving for a good few years. There is no proper training material, only tech bulletins and current issues both with and without workarounds. (they are working on a new knowledgbase, but it will take much more time.) If you get a technical position, there is no option to grow nor is there certificates to acquire. The food is always the same, each week - it gets tasteless after 2 months. There is a speaker at everyones desk, some even have two and a subwoofer, it can produce a lot of noise pollution at certain hours.
