Pros

The interpersonal culture was great. Everybody loves good music and that ties the company together. They are seriously good about speaker engineering and were doing "internet of things" long before that was a term. They have deep expertise in every aspect.

Cons

It's a design driven company and that can be frustrating as an engineer. Designers generally don't understand that "we want a new product with new feature X by D" has way more uncertainty than "can you do that in blue?". They get there eventually but it a painful process. They could use more investment into engineering tooling. What they do is very special, so you can't just buy solutions for things like embedded systems testing. But they don't want to invest in the in-house solutions, so they always feel under staffed.

Pros

Individual contributors across the company are superb.

Cons

Management is completely disjointed and generally underskilled. Classic case of strong individual contributors being promoted to management when they are not able.

Pros

Very dynamic environment, the team is very collaborative, and projects are aligned with industry trends. The company structure keeps everyone involved with their ideas and thoughts. It is easy to bring up new ideas and brainstorm within and across groups. There is a lot of transparency in the information, from the exec to employees which helps understand the direction of the company, i.e. know why projects our Software Development projects are prioritized first.

Cons

Difficult to find significant cons. There are a lot more pros.
