Pros

The best part about Sound Transit is how strongly motivated the employees are by the public good. This was ingrained in almost everyone I met there. They all want to do something good for the community through their jobs in transit.

Cons

Being a cash-strapped public agency, you won't find free drinks/snacks here. Also, a lot of the technology and working experience is a little dated, so younger more innovative minds will have to slow down to allow others to keep up with them.

Pros

fast pace, never boring smart, very driven people exciting projects that make a positive difference CEO is a phenomenal leader and a genuinely good person

Cons

big egos, lack of consistency of management across the organization, some managers are fair and level-headed and some are high strung, territorial and reactional, and the contrast is not being addressed as an issue that has real impact on morale and results

Pros

It's nice to be part of an agency that is working towards improving traffic issues in the region. There were a lot of good people that tried to make it an enjoyable place to work. The agency kept employees up to date on the projects Sound Transit was involved in.

Cons

Management in IT and Finance was very lacking in leadership skills. When problems developed they blamed staff for their lack of management abilities. Even when they were blatant lies. Some employees had serious behavioral issues which management and HR ignored and refused to be involved with. It was a very dysfuntional place to work.
