Pros

Generous PTO and 401(K) contributions

Cons

No professional development. Almost all IT work is outsourced to lowest-bid, offshore TCS or Infosys with incredibly low quality. As an employee and a ratepayer, I'm very concerned about the huge technical debt that's accruing and the huge amount of money being spent on software without any value, then hiring same consulting companies that built the shoddy systems to fix them.

Toxic work environment

Pros

Total compensation and multiple work locations.

Cons

The work environment can be toxic for people of color. It manifests as micro aggressions, demeaning and condescending language and being completely ignored, as if you’re invisible.

Pros

Decent compensation and benefits, lots of smart people (for the time being). Opportunity to make a difference in a rapidly changing industry.

Cons

Over the top corporate BS, constant re-orgs, "flavor of the month" approaches to serious issues. Political correctness overrides common sense in most cases. Very risk-averse company. IT and HR in shambles.
