Cons

Usually short staffed, certain departments are higher stress (Local Planning vs Tech), Hiring process moves at a snails pace and HR sometimes does not contact you after interviews

Pros

+ Pay and benefits are highly competitive + Work can feel meaningful + Safety culture is taken seriously + Most people act professionally and take their jobs seriously (As compared to the SCE contractors I worked for previously)

Cons

- Org is large and bureaucratic yellow/red tape is plentiful - Construction groups often have construction bro mentality - Outside forces such as governments, laws, CPUC, etc. can have large impact on job - QOL seems to be highly variable from dept to dept
