I am pleased to know you created meaningful connections during your time here, and those connections live on. Although our last change in ownership was over five years ago, I can see it affected you at that time. I understand that. Change can be stressful and, sometimes, hard to understand. We can always do a better job of (over-)communicating and supporting people during times of significant change.
