Cons

Variable and unexpected overtime required mainly due to lack of proper management. Rewards and compensation may not reflect actual work.

Incredible talent and significant work. The SpaceX brand is a powerful one (#1 in the world on Hired’s Global Brand Health report), and the stuff you get to see here will blow your mind. Every day. People here are friendly, super smart, and dedicated to SpaceX’s mission of enabling space exploration and human life on Mars. Food here is delicious and employees get great discounts

Cons

no 401k matching but that’s really it, on the whole this work environment is unlike any other so there are few cons

Had a great time at SpaceX. Amazing learning opportunity with a great degree of autonomy and independence.

Cons

Above and beyond effort is standard here. Definitely takes some getting used to. The pay is very sub-par compared to other high level engineering positions and definitely considering the hours people put in.
