Pros

Able to work big problems and create solutions that have never been solved before in human history. I have seen things in my employment at SpaceX that the space industry deemed impossible. Everyone as SpaceX is so passionate about their work that everyone pulls their weight and works together to be successful.

Cons

Management wants the job done for half the cost but at the same quality. Getting funding for projects is becoming more and more difficult. I fear it will soon start slowing down progress. The company is starting to become too "Corporate".

SpaceX is an exciting, dynamic, growing company with ambitious long term goals. The workforce is enthusiastic, talented and helpful to new employees. The work is both challenging and rewarding, a must for committed aerospace engineers.

Cons

Facilities are a little cramped - but improving

Pros

Unlimited opportunities for responsibility/growth, new challenges each day, working with the smartest people in the world on a bold mission, stock ownership opportunities, etc.

Cons

Always more to do than time to do it, but that makes for a fun challenge of constantly improving your own/team's efficiencies and finding ways to get it done. In the early days, that meant working some long hours/weeks, but 50 is now the norm and totally manageable.
