I enjoyed my time there. Operators can be trained on different stations which encourages collective thought and appreciation for the product.

Cons

Manufacturing Engineers needed to be on the floor to understand the needs of operators and technicians. I often found that procedures needed to be revised and corrected. Job descriptions also need to be more thorough in how a certain tasked is to be done (For example, there were no official procedures on how to DPR or rework a component. It was orally taught and trained from person to person). Test benches, fixtures and equipment needed to be updated as well. It was a fast paced environment where quotas needed to be met each month, thus room for error was always possible.

Pros

Fast paced, multi task work environment. One on one work with engineer's. Got lots of different training and certs!! Loved my job, worked there 4yrs! Wanted to make it my career!

Cons

Management and HR are horrible!! Hr isnt on the employees side, reported my manager to hr for discrimination and i was fired the week after. They work together in a negative way. Crazy overtime!! No appreciation!! Don't know how to treat good employees!

Pros

Sparton has a long history. They have decent benefits. They do have some good employees that are extremely knowledgeable.

Cons

This company makes decisions based on emotions. They are petty and a lot of the management team is puppeteered by lower level employees who are actually calling the shots. The work load is not fairly distributed.
