Pros

Very flexible hours for students or employees with other jobs. Your co-workers are the best part of the overall atmosphere. Employee discount on practically everything in the store. Opportunity to earn commission on top of an hourly wage. The work itself was very easy for a college student who was juggling a full load of classes. Management at this store had things figured out. For the most part, the employees are fun people who you actually come to like, which makes working long shifts more bearable.

Cons

Sometimes management can be slow to approve time off, usually though the managers were very accommodating for taking PTO (paid time off). You have to deal with the inevitable angry/grumpy customer. TABC stings can cost you your job and possibly jail time! (Check ID's!!!) The pay itself is not enough to survive on, but much better than other retail jobs in the area. During Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years it is non-stop, and usually everyone is working the days before a major holiday.

Freedom to interact with customers, learn about the different products, and flexible schedules. Specs offers a wonderful working environment along with appeasing management that works with their employees to ensure tranquility.

Cons

Slow promotion and growth internally.
