Pros

Reasonable pay Technical expertise means steady employment Decent benefits and plenty of vacation.

Cons

No training provided -- you're on your own to figure out your job. Mid-level management tends toward technological cluelessness. Senior management features many hide-bound old "cable dogs." Historical lack of competition (once a cable company had a franchise contract, it had no competition for the market in the area) resulted in a corporate culture disinclined to embrace disruptive innovations or reforms. Rising competition from streaming services, big tech corps and satellite providers pose existential threats to the business model for which Spectrum seems little prepared.
