Pros

You get to be on your own most of the time. Pay, benefits and ability to advance are all fair.

Cons

Not organized very well, not great morale. They make you feel silly for not wanting to put yourself into serious danger (unsafe ladder setups for example.) I don't really want to die or get seriously injured for these guys.

Pros

Working independently as a Field Technician is the greatest pro to working at Charter. In addition, a 6% 401k match.

Cons

Work-Life balance has suffered greatly for many Field Technicians during this time of change at Charter. Many Field Technicians have begun to feel that Charter no longer cares what happens to them, as long as the job gets done.

Pros

Good benefits, stable company, and a fair amount of autonomy (if performing to satisfaction). A reasonable amount training and available resources to get needed information on an ongoing basis.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, upper management not in tune with certain marketplace realities. Too much competition with inhouse call center and advertising, with various promotions and incentives available to them to offer, and not to us.
