Pros

Competitive salary Great working environment Great people Excellent top notch CEO Excellent product - sells itself Free beer

Cons

The culture at HQ is definitely not present at some of the other locations in the US - it's almost like going to a totally different company if you go to the Plano, TX office

Pros

Humble employees all the way from the CEO, Co-Founders to the brilliant engineers, Legal, HR and more... Company is constantly thinking up new ways to reward their employees Executives preach "win together, lose together" and "Do the right thing" No set work schedules, work smarter not harder. Some positions have opportunities to WFH Encouraged to take risks and be creative Employees like to hang out together after work Employees are passionate about the Splunk product and how it can help customers Open and transparent work culture Free food, drinks, snacks, kegerators, video machines, flat screen TV Still has a start up feel Growing fast Product solves a real world business problem

Cons

salary and bonus are not that competitive vacation time isn't generous or competitive to other hot companies (but I do get the option to work remotely when needed).

Unhealthy, Unethical, Unprofessional

Pros

They are hot in the market right now. Pay is good. Flexible working hours. You will work a lot more than 10 hours on any given day. However, for the most part, the when and where is flexible.

Cons

The worst Human Resources department and management I have ever seen. Easily the most unhealthy food in the office canteens. If you are vegan or paleo, god help you. Worse, if you are an IBS sufferer. You are completely screwed because if you are at an event, you will not be accommodated and you will not be reimbursed either. I had to carry my own food for events and for all travel. None of that was reimbursed. Their expense policy is idiotic and their expense department is underqualified at best. Management is terrible. The word 'imbecile' comes to mind.
