Pros

For a growing company, they are trying to keep both their customers and their employees in mind. Good benefits and company perks.

Cons

Watch your back, even if you are getting positive feedback. Be prepare to have some self budgeting for dental or pay high premiums. Communication is struggling!

I want to tell you how much I appreciate your honest feedback. I’m disappointed that Spoonflower wasn’t the place you were hoping for, and I respect your efforts to help Spoonflower improve. You are absolutely right about our dental benefit; employees do have to budget to pay the premiums for dental. Spoonflower has always paid 100% of an employee’s (and their family members’) medical premiums in addition to making a large contribution to the Health Savings Account for each covered employee (which can also be used to pay for dental expenses). We felt that offering employee-paid dental was worth trying this year. We are proud of the benefits we offer our employees and are continually researching ways to enhance our already generous and robust package. We, too, recognize the challenges that come with the need to communicate messages and information to all parts of our company. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes there is room for improvement. We always have the intention of providing transparency and authenticity in our communications and we do our best to keep our eye on that goal. Again, thank you for your feedback. Please feel free to reach out to me at hr@spoonflower.com if there is any other feedback you would like to provide.

Pros

Diverse and creative place to work. Mission of OG Spoonflower was lived through the work.

Cons

I loved spoonflower, inside and out, but when corporate greed took over, systems and people were changed with little concern for more than the bottom line. Customers, designers and staff all lost something special and products became bland and harder to believe in.
