Pros

The best teammates I've ever had. All of them were incredibly hard working, terrific collaborators, and just high quality people who time and again went out of their way to let me know that my work was appreciated or to check in when times were tough. Their camaraderie and sense of humor helped me get through some incredibly stressful situations. When I look back on my time at Spring, my coworkers are by far the greatest highlight. Other pros include ample opportunities for career advancement, competitive salary and benefits.

Cons

The company rushes to sell programs/features to customers and then leaves it to the Operations team to scramble to make them actually happen. The question "Can we actually support this?" is almost never asked. This leads to a very high stress environment and a poor work/life balance that causes consistent burnout. They also operate a bare-bones staffing model on Operations, seeking to employ the absolute minimum amount of people. This creates a pattern where understaffed teams are tasked with enormous, nearly impossible projects, which leads to a number of employees going on leave, which in turn adds more pressure and work to the remaining employees.

Whiplash from all the change

Pros

Pay is decent compared to other companies Individual teams are great

Cons

No longer have flexible PTO for hourly workers.. leadership says this is due to a discrepancy in some team members taking 2 days of PTO and some taking 60 hours of PTO. Maybe speak with those managers approving that much PTO to mitigate this properly instead of taking away a benefit from an entire group of workers. Which by the way, was not removed from salaried workers. I guess hourly workers are bottom of the barrel. Additionally, our $500 wellness reimbursement was taken away but given back when the new PTO model was announced because they knew it would cause backlash. Except it is taxed so enjoy your $300. Changes in insurance has caused headaches for so many.

Breaking barriers everyday

Pros

The mission to eliminate every barrier to mental health is incredible. To get there, we do lots of tough things with a bar for excellence like I’ve never experience before. We have always been in hypergrowth mode so you get to experience a lot of challenging, growth situations and make real impact.

Cons

It's really difficult to be in an environment that is constantly changing and it's all about growth mindset and grit. It is not for everyone, that's for sure and for the people who make that call for themselves - it's a good thing. The people who stick around so unhappily can have a toxic impact on their teams.
