Pros

Company provided food and large kitchen are great. Good product. Each department is different but Implementations is mostly self directed.

Cons

Wages under market. Just merged with another company. Was not a lot of upward mobility and promotions sometimes given to those that hang out with upper management after hours, not always based on skill or other qualifications.

Pros

Good, downtown location Nice co-workers Some folks play poker/foosball/games during lunch in break room

Cons

Salaries are low - they're on the cheap side. Unless you're an all-star talent (and there's only 2-3 of them in development) you'll get cheap treatment, and maybe not even then. Meanwhile, all but one of the partners are retired (5 out of 6 or so), so maybe that's where the profits are going. Who knows. Finances are non-transparent. Arrogant management. A lot of the programming managers are promoted from within, which would seem good ideally, but if you you're there long enough, you notice a lot of self-promotion goes on aimed at impressing the CEO. And for them, that's all they really need to worry about. It's not what you do on a daily basis that matters - nobody notices that stuff - if a tree falls in the woods....

Pros

The company isn't huge so there is very high visibility for all of the work you do. Management wants employees to have a good work-life balance, so you will periodically have check-ups with management to make sure you aren't working too much. The company has grown in the past few years, so there have been some growing pains in terms of processes, but it is something that is constantly being worked on and is improving. Your work -will- directly affect clients. Fully stocked kitchen, kegerator (that is enjoyed in moderation and mostly on Friday after-hours..I don't understand most of these other reviews listing that as a negative) and game room are signs that management wants to keep employees happy. Flexible hours for most departments, which include the ability to work remotely if necessary. Most clients and coworkers are fantastic to work with.

Cons

No formal training for most departments. Pay isn't outstanding, but the work-life balance makes up for it (compare working 60-70 hour weeks with a 'high salary' and 40-45 here and there really isn't much of a difference for the number of hours worked).
