Pros

I was in high school, and the pay was 50 cents above minimum wage, for a courtesy clerk position so that wasn't bad. It was a cool store, friendly people.

Cons

I had a really bad manager who was borderline harassment. It never got taken care of, but they knew that manager was the reason I was quitting, and they tried to negotiate with me. At that point I was over it, if they knew about it they should have taken care of it. They also had a lot of scheduling problems. Scheduling while I would still be in class when I repeatedly gave them my schedule, and I would get yelled at for being "late."

Pros

Fun people to work with (probably varies). Pay was decent for my position.

Cons

Management messed up the schedule predictably.

Pros

Customers seem to like the stores very much as a nice alternative to the standard grocery stores in the neighborhood. The focus on customer service is a real point of difference. However, workers worked so hard there is little time to truly interact. Morale within departments is often very low and bitter.

Cons

Too many differences between same departments of stores at different locations. Why is there not more stanardization and ongoing training? Also, ergonomics of job vary by location. Sinks at some locations are too low and lead to backaches from those who wash dishes several hours a day --- vs. some locations have higher sinks that are not so problematic. No incentives to clerk employees to keep them motivated to do a good job. Jobs are day to day monotony ---- and over time the employees seem to not care. Negative feedback from managers only worsens mood. Why not have leadership that leads with enthusiasm and positive feedback?*!* Feels like a slave trade to go to work rather than having positive management lead the team toward success. In the end, Sprouts Corp loses.
