Pros

Friendly staff. Respect for nursing staff from physicians.

Cons

So intent on funding new facility that safety of patients and staff is often compromised. Big push for Magnet designation, but in reality the concept of Shared Governance is kind of a joke. Most decisions of a medical nature are made by people who have never been near a patient. Constant reduction in ancillary staff, very high turnover in nursing and nursing management. Nurses are made to feel disposable. Fire one and they can be replaced easily. Very high inpatient infection rate as well.
