Full of Opportunity for an Engineer

Great opportunity for experience and vast breadth of opportunity. I have been here 5 years and have 3 great different jobs. each business unit in Winnipeg has a different business market and the work is different. There are people everywhere with engineering and technical backgrounds always willing to help. THere is no union to get in the way of getting things done and touching the product. almost everyone wants to do a good job and get things done. My third different company in manitoba and is much more rewarding as an engineer working in a government or consulting industry job. as much opportunity as you could want and jobs posted all the time.
Cons
it is the aerospace industry to there is some bureacracy to deal with in documenting all reasons for every technical decision. Some transport canada and regulatory issues slow up your progress if you are not very personally motivated to get the approvals needed to take responsibility of your own work. Some of the longer term employees get bitter over time and don't realize how good we have it at StandardAero.
