company going down the tubes

Pros

The people are what makes this place. There are a lot of great people working here. This place has to be one of the cleanest shops to work in.

Cons

Wages are about $5/hour off the mark. Also it takes an extremely long time to get up the wage scale. Top rate is something that can not be reached. Management really has no idea what the shop guys do it's embarrassing.

Management has no clue how to work with people, to much favoritism! The pay is $5-$10 under what you would make at Boeing or Magellin, the pay increases are pathetic not in tune to the cost of living at all. They preach a continuous improvement attitude but there is no insentive, sorry I lied if you save the company 1000 of dollars you'll get a cell pizza day done by the crap in house food service. My advise is to wait it out and get employment elswhere!

Going downhill fast...quickly being outpaced in salaries

Clean, good group of people for the most part, decent benefits, good work/life balance.

Cons

Management. As others have said, since DAE purchased StandardAero it was all downhill. Upper management no longer cares about the day to day problems that cause masses of people to quit. Winnipeg is a line on a balance sheet. Salary. They will ALWAYS say they are competitive, but they are absolutely not. I know personally of 12 people within the last year (all engineering staff) who quit for a minimum $20,000 raise. Other companies will continue to steal SAL Talent because of the poor salaries.
