Pros

In general, Stanford does treat its employees fairly well and the staff benefits are rather extensive even if actual salaries reflect it's not-for-profit nature

Cons

It can really vary from group to group (since it's so large) but the lack of quarterly results & profits do make it easier for some to stick to their old, familiar methods even if they're no longer relevant to the current business enviornment

Pros

State of the art research, motivated people, productive, in a place with great weather. As well alot of activities and interesting learning material on campus

Cons

Well the worst thing about stanford is palo alto. prices are ridiculously expensive and unless you have at least a 70K job should not consider this place for employment.
