      Great in the beginning, but getting harder due to the lay -offs and having to take on more work.

      Pros

      fantastic people. Many of the employees have been here along time, so you become friends. Some dept have a family atmosphere. A lot of thing happening on campus to go to or see. Nice area and lots of different places to eat on campus. The campus is a little city.

      Cons

      It's hard to advance because people stay in their jobs so long.

      Pros

      Great place to work as some of the best researchers are around you. Facilities and people are really helpful in understanding things well.

      Cons

      Balancing work and family can be little difficult if the adviser is more strict than required. Need to maintain good time management to meet the deadlines.

      Pros

      Stanford provides the opportunities to work with highly intelligent people, for great professional development and for ood life/work balance. And nice campus too.

      Cons

      As a researcher at Stanford University, I primarily interact just other researchers on my floor or in my department on campus. I think the collaboration could be improved, and more exposure to senior leaderships should be enhanced.
