Pros

Great benefits, great people, great attitude at most stores, great for people who catch on quick

Cons

Some stores create the “Starbucks Experence” and some do not. Some store managers need to be re-evaluated.

Pros

The best pro is the great benefits, including healthcare, free food and drink when you work, stocks and education opportunities. However the job is also very educational. You have a lot of learning opportunities for management, food safety, coffee and tea and interpersonal development. It's also very fast paced work. If you like to be mentally and physically engaged, sbux is for you.

Cons

This job is a quicksand job. You get hired and you blink and it's been a year and you get called in at least once a week. You're so involved in the store you never really feel like you're off work. If you get promoted to shift leader, you're expected to practically be the manager. Most store dynamics suck. Most managers suck. Most promotions suck. And ever since Howard stepped away, things have been getting cheaper and lower quality. The lids never fit right any more, our trash bags tear like tissue paper, and the healthcare is twice or three times as expensive for the same coverage we had a year ago.

Pros

Very cool work environment! the drinks are fun to make. GREAT discount on food, coffee, mugs and more!

Cons

When you have managers that don't treat employees as they should it can be really frustrating. Being in customer service, means you have to have thick skin because some people are really mean.
