this company has the right leader in place - Howard Schultz is truly inspiring great culture of recognition lots of opportunities for advancement - promotion from within is emphasized and based on merit vs. seniority total compensation package includes yearly stock grants, RSP matching, tuition reimbursement, 30% corporate discount, free coffee or tea to take home weekly Starbucks does not advertise this (rightfully), but the company does amazing work in the communities we do business (from ethically sourcing the products, to serving coffee at local charity events)
Cons
entrenched management - managers hired 5-20 years ago stick around because it's a great place to work. In several cases, Starbucks has been slow to recognize that the business has evolved past the skill level of these managers.
