Pros

nice environment with friendly people. fast paced but time goes by quicker this way. unique products to sell and try.

Cons

you usually have to work at least one opening shift which means you have to get there at like 4:30 AM. lots of egos too.

Pros

Starbucks is well known for it's benefits, stock options, and other perks for part time employees. It is also fairly easy to acquire time off and most stores can cater to specific schedule needs. Hours are easy to find if you are a good performer or are willing to travel to other stores. Also, it is a fairly simple job.

Cons

The biggest disappointment is that you are a fast food service employee and are treated as such by customers. Some shifts can be very negative and incredibly stressful, so it's hard to put your 'heart' into the job. The compensation for moving up in management isn't worth the extra responsibilities you take on. Different stores can have very different levels of professionalism. Some can be unbearable to work in while others can be quite fun.
