Pros

Benefits package including health insurance plans, bean stock, employee discount & weekly "markout" of a pound of coffee or packaged tea.

Cons

The culture in the corporate office is absolutely horrendous- I can only speak for the R&D department, but I'm told the experiences vary by department and fortitude of the management of a department. Product Development is particularly bad with it's many lazy, paranoid middle managers who are more concerned with "optics" than actually executing a well done job. When middle management waivers on whether or not a mission statement should be applied to a situation or not- it's a death nail in the coffin of a working culture. Here's a hint- the mission statement of a company should be applied to everything you do and always- if it's not, there is lots of correction needed and the R&D dept. is beyond correcting. Yes, directions change and agile pivots are all apart of business, but when this is a constant norm due to the lack of backbone of department leaders, then the whole team suffers. When employees that constantly achieve high reaching goals, they should be congratulated for their success- it is the entire company's success. Instead what happens here is isolating the high achieving "partner" with giving lack of resources to complete future projects, not giving opportunities for future growth and recognition systems that make other employees intimidated. The sad part is that there are a lot of good partners that are so willing to "rise up" and do the right thing for the company and the culture, but the middle management is so stifling, where is there to rise to?

Pros

Made some great relationships. Free coffee. Prestige employer. Equal gender pay.

Cons

Advancement is tough and late. They prefer to have you do the job for years before paying you for it. Slow, consensus driven decision making.
