Pros

State Farm is a huge company with tons of opportunities and reasonable pay in most areas. People that have been there for a long time (15+ years) absolutely love it.

Cons

State Farm's size makes it difficult to be agile; though it tries hard to be agile, they usually fail at embracing & implementing new ideas from the outside. The age of the company and much of the workforce creates a culture that allows office politics to fester rather easily. They move people around a lot when new opportunities arise, almost forcing employees to repeatedly move across the country. Also, the process for promotions and upward mobility feels antiquated and favoritism seems to influence certain departments.

Pros

Bonus , paid time off, benefits , and training.

Cons

Unmanageable work load and you will be burned out. The amount of work is so bad you cannot even take off because you will come back to work overwhelmed with task. The job is also very micromanaged to the point they only care about metrics and not much about the actual day to day work. 80% of the time it is a hostile environment you are working in dealing with confrontations from customers and contractors because the claims have been re assigned 5 times due to people leaving from burn out. I will not recommend this job to anyone long term.
