Pros

It's a pay check - Not commensurate with the workload. You can be assured of employment (if you can handle the workload) until you near full retirement where life becomes increasingly miserable.

Cons

Disregard for family hardships created by corporate decisions. Such as demanding that all Texas employees relocate to Austin or loose their jobs. Some employees have elderly parents that are their responsibilities. The demands of the company creates dynamic hardships for "families." Behind the smoke and mirrors, how financially sound is the company really?
