As long as you have the cash you can become a State Farm Agent. As a staff agent with experience you end up training the agent, only later to be micro-managed and abused. They reap the rewards of their staff's hardwork, while you the staff is only pushed to sale, sale, sale. It's all about new production, not about the client anymore. When interviewing the a "scratch agent" beware because 99% of them do not know how to manage and you could find yourself in a emotional rollercoster position. If you want to work for State Farm as a staff agent be sure to interview the agent and make sure they have been in the agency for at least three years. But keep in mind you are not an "employee" of State Farm, just of the agent's, so if you are mistreated you have no recourse.
