Pros

Great co-workers Family atmosphere Flexible hours Easy commute Free Parking Decent cafeterias Mobility options (laptops, VPN, work from home on occasion, cell phone, black berry) Respected in community, except by the jealous types.

Cons

Some regular employees seem to work on their Employee Performance Reviews more than their project work. Some take advantage of flexible hours and are gone more than present, it seems. Salaries are low compared to contracting, which makes conversion to perm difficult. Use of latest technologies and methodologies lags, but that's expected for a big ship. There is a lot of unnecessary separation between contractors and employees (put there by the company, not the people).

Pros

Pleasant office setting and adequate training.

Cons

Need better management. To much reliance on team environment which allows sometimes hundreds of other "possibly less qualified" claims adjusters free reign to micro manage your work product.

Pros

Great people--friendly, down to earth, talented, knowledgeable. As an intern, I had an excellent experience within my department. They take care of their employees and people respect each other. There isn't much office politics that I hear about at other places. Employees seemed to really care about teaching me and trusted me with independent work on big projects. They cover relocation expenses for the summertime. They also have an amazing "State Farm Park" with pool, lazy river, miniature golf, intramural sports leagues--it's a ton of fun after work! (Hours were 8-4:15). G

Cons

Indoors it's cubicle-world. There's a big cafeteria, but I still felt like I was in high school. There isn't a lot of activity in Bloomington. State Farm Park might be the biggest attraction!
