Pros

Decent benefits. Stable company with long history. Historically, this has been a great company to work for. Training is among the best in the industry, which makes former employees extremely desirable to competitors. Company culture has always been a strong attribute.

Cons

Small offices nationwide have been closed (or in the process of closing) in favor of "hubs" (Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, Seattle, and Bloomington, Illinois). More "corporate" mentality which has given way to numbers-driven approach to business. Company has shifted resources and money towards more assembly-line handling of claims. Older (more expensive) employees are being pushed out to save money.

Pros

Co workers are like family. Good benefits. Pension still in place. That’s about it. It’s all about putting money in the CEO’s and upper management cause the rest of the employees do not benefit.

Cons

I’ve been here over 10yrs and seen this company go downhill. They went from a company who cared about its employees and customers to just caring about metrics. No work life balance. Multiple employees out on extended sick leave do to unrealistic expectations in performance. Difficult to do quality work. No longer #1 in auto or anything else.

Pros

The people you work with in the office are good, for the most part

Cons

This is a review for Luka Cline State Farm Agency in Roswell, GA. Everything else about this place is a con. Management, or lack thereof, from the owners is absolutely terrible. They try to intimidate or threaten you into working hard rather than coach you and help you succeed. If you don't agree with what they say and even present your side in a calm and logical manner, you will most likely be let go. They do not support communication at all, it's just do-as-your-told. All they care about is making money off young people just starting their careers by promising them their own agency one day if they make enough sales. They tell the sales reps that they will make an average of $50,000 when it is a struggle to even make $25,000 for most. They force everyone, even customer service, to work overtime every week with no appreciation or additional compensation. It is absolute torture for everyone there. There is a complete lack of respect or gratitude for their employees. They even have fired people over the phone and text – no common decency to even meet with them to do it or give any sort of warning/chance to improve at all. There is also a lack of discipline for actual negative behavior - they implicitly condone sneaky behavior from sales representatives. Stay away at all costs, it is not worth it! You’ll probably make more flipping burgers.
