Pros

Good benefits, opportunities grow, mentoring program available, Convenient locations, company is working towards flexible work arrangements, recognition for good performance.

Cons

The most common complaint I have heard from staff is the poor compensation. Competitors pay higher salaries, which makes retaining talented staff difficult. Also the recent business transformation process has been managed a bit sloppy.

Pros

Supposedly a performance-based culture. Multiple locations in Boston.

Cons

Working for a custodial bank means you will do a lot of dirty work, mostly tedious Excel and/or macros. State Street, like other similar firms, is a very top-heavy. The company operates on the backs of lower-level associates. There are too many AVPs and VPs. It's just a title, guys. What are you really producing on a day-to-day basis?!
