Pros

Good place to learn. Especially if you are fresh out of school. Little advancement. Nice people in general.

Cons

Recently mass lay off every year. Low pay. Outsourcing to India. And before you leave, you are to train the Indians that are taking away your job.

Pros

The people I work with are helpful and friendly. I like all of them. Learn some financial terms and about mutual funds Improve Excel and typing skills. Easy to get hired, regardless of your background.

Cons

I made more money babysitting than doing fund accounting at State Street. The low pay motivates me to take it easy and not work too hard, as I don't want to be taken advantage of by overworking and stressing out for $32k. I have 2 other jobs to supplement my fund accounting job so I can live. Most of my coworkers still live with their parents and have pt jobs too.
