      There is Definitely Better Out There

      Pros

      I had some awesome colleagues. Together, it was the "us" that made it a great place to work.

      Cons

      Frequent outbursts by on-site manager made for a toxic environment. Solid performers were constantly place on a "performance improvement plan" (which the PM would hold over your head as a way to fire you without notice). Manager hired buddy to be his deputy. Deputy is totally incompetent. A recent and sudden exodus of top quality management indicates major problems under the surface.

      Pushing Return-To-Office

      Pros

      Once remote friendly. No longer.

      Cons

      Used to be remote-friendly, but now it feels like they’re pushing everyone back to the office. In-office employees get bonuses, awards, recognition, raises. Many remotes feel blocked from moving up. It seems local staff are quietly pushing remote folks down to keep all the perks for themselves, management isn’t stopping it because they’re signaling a return-to-office is the goal.

      Turning Toxic Very Quickly

      Pros

      Great company culture, caring senior leaders, and positive space for creativity.

      Cons

      Latest middle management cohort is self-interested, condescending, and don't recognize the front line of delivery doing the real relationship building and work on the ground. They don't live the values the company was built on.
