Pros

My immediate team (aka the girls who were my peers) were amazing and you get an amazing discount.

Cons

The culture is TOXIC and cliquey. My boss was horrible and I never knew what mood he’d be in. He didn’t actually have any experience in the work I was doing (where I had 4-5 years experience) and he kept changing direction. Peers were yelled at to the point of crying and when I went to HR they ultimately “restructured” me out of my job.

Toxic, suffocating work environment

Pros

Big name for your resume. Free bagels once a week

Cons

Where do I even start...this is a graveyard for creative/design brains. You're not "designing" if you're shamelessly copying and pasting other brands' designs (including fast fashion brands!). No wonder the team gets lawsuits here and there, yet the upper management applauds that we're so good at "knocking off". The team is always short-staffed, and managers are micromanaging. To the point where you can't focus on the actual work, because you're more focused on "showing" your manager you're doing something rather than taking care of the actual tasks. You can't work when your manager's literally looking over your computer screen all. the. time. Hours are ridiculously long for no reason. You literally have to stay until late for the sake of staying until late, to show your managers you're working hard enough. They expect you to do that. If you dare to leave earlier than your manager, you'll be in trouble. The work environment is so toxic that everyone's busy throwing each other under the bus, and yet people avoid complicated tasks saying "that's not my job" or "i'm not doing that". Taking lunch outside or for more than 20 minutes is frowned upon. Micro aggression, some racist remarks that scarred me for life are a plus. This company is basically a revolving door, lots of people coming in and out. Also the entire management needs training on office decorum. It is very unprofessional to swear all the time at work, let alone calling employees names in front of their faces. Lots of yelling and f words. I'm so glad that I landed on another job and getting ready to leave this place. If you're still considering working here, don't say I didn't warn ya.
