Pros

chance to work with smart analysts good opportunities to collaborate across industries great macro research better work-life balance than other research shops

Cons

culture is lacking - people don't like each other got too big too fast and management no longer has the capacity to hear (even high-level) employee concerns losing talent for lack of good culture and unimpressive comp (401K and health benefits suck)

Pros

Teams are comprised of great people, work is constant, never a dull moment

Cons

Benefits are lacking compared to other firms in the area. 401k match is dumped in at the end of the year. Vacation and Sick time are joined.

Pros

I've been working at Stifel for about a year now. I can honestly say I really enjoy it here. Usually with a new job, the honeymoon phase wears off but it still hasn't happened to me yet. Stifel offers annual bonuses and great work/life balance. We have free soda machines on several floors and free coffee. They will pay for any security licenses to be obtained. This, to me, shows they care about your personal career development. Everyone is very nice and pleasant to work with. They also have different catered events in the building which helps boost morale and brings employees closer.

Cons

Only con I can think of is the fees employees pay when trading. I've also heard salaries could be a little more competitive (although I have no complaints about mine).
