The work is kind of cool, the culture needs work

Pros

- The work is challenging with unique problems to solve; I get the opportunity to be creative and inventive in my work - Overall a cool company to work for and seems to be great to have on a resume; recruiters hit me up on LinkedIn way more often now that I work for StockX - Leadership is becoming more and more transparent and altogether better at running the company

Cons

- Perks have never been great; Benefits are meh - Like at many companies that offer Unlimited PTO, taking vacation has historically been pretty guilt inducing; This has changed recently with the COVID-19 situation and they are pushing us to take some time off, but probably because no one is taking it because we can't go anywhere... - StockX fed off of Quicken Loans culture for a long time and never really worked on establishing their own; it seems they are trying to fix that now but it's not really working and still falls flat - The people in general aren't my favorite to work with, it's very dog-eat-dog and stressful; You'd think working for a tech company in the Midwest/Rust Belt would give you more down-to-earth coworkers and this is true of some, but you also work with a lot of transplants from NYC, SF, and LA and cultures from those areas permeate the overall office vibe
