Pros

- Exciting work - Effective meetings - High achieving coworkers - Highly engaged users - Free time for runs & rides - Group activities & events - Free snacking - Super generous vacation - Free to WFH anytime you want (in my experience) - Health Care benefits are pretty sweet

Cons

- I've heard pay can be better at the big Goog and Apple type places, but I'd say the job is much more exciting here, and you make a much bigger difference in the project. - Office gets chilly sometimes

Pros

Amazing smart and focused coworkers. The office is filled with passionate people who bring their best everyday. It feels like we're on the cutting edge of tech, and pushing forward each month.

Cons

Besides skill development (which I recognize as important of course, for more than just a fancy title), I don't see a path for promotion or other career growth. I'll probably leave Strava a much stronger Developer, but without preparation or opportunity for leadership roles. Low turn-over (some managers being in place for over six years) has not allowed the company to be infused with new ideas/culture and prevented promotion from within. Mediocre pay (but good benefits) in the 50th or below percentile.

Pros

It's rare to work on a product that you use and are passionate about, along with other people who care. Employees care about making the company and the product better and aren't just there for a paycheck.

Cons

If you want 90th percentile salaries and free lunch, this is not the right place for you.
