Pros

Awesome culture. So cool to be immersed in a company full of other bike and outdoors enthusiasts. The overall vibe and environment is fun and chill. Great perks and amenities, even as a contractor.

Cons

Communication could be improved, within and across teams. Weekly all-hands meetings introduced what other teams were working on, but simultaneously highlighted how compartmentalized efforts are. In-team performance feedback was lacking. It seemed that any ask for advice or direction is perceived as incompetence.

Greate for junior engineers

Pros

* great work life balance * good opportunities to get your hands dirty as a junior engineer * very smart co-workers * benefits and PTO of 5 weeks a year

Cons

Lack of vision at the top, feels like the priority over the next 12-18 months is just social features. Leadership's focus on these safe, social features means there is little support for anything else on the product road map. Over my time there it was very very difficult to have an impact over the product as a whole. Only 1 of 8 senior managers (VP + C*O) is an engineer!!! Salary was okay at the start but failed to keep pace with the market or the experience gained over the first few years. In a way forcing you to leave.
