Pros

* Get to work on a consumer brand (that you might like). * Coworkers care about the product and each other. * Reasonable hour expectations.

Cons

* Growth opportunities and mentorship opportunities are weak in most departments. * Perks and benefits have lagged. * Total comp is below average for the quality of employee they expect. * High turnover at C/VP level with long replacement time.

Greate for junior engineers

Pros

* great work life balance * good opportunities to get your hands dirty as a junior engineer * very smart co-workers * benefits and PTO of 5 weeks a year

Cons

Lack of vision at the top, feels like the priority over the next 12-18 months is just social features. Leadership's focus on these safe, social features means there is little support for anything else on the product road map. Over my time there it was very very difficult to have an impact over the product as a whole. Only 1 of 8 senior managers (VP + C*O) is an engineer!!! Salary was okay at the start but failed to keep pace with the market or the experience gained over the first few years. In a way forcing you to leave.
