      Pros

      Fully remote work. Seven weeks of summer vacation.

      Cons

      Many districts partnering with Stride are not equipped with the proper IT infrastructure to support the Stride platform. Stride will over-extend itself to meet the demands of partnering districts, causing additional work to fall on each individual online instructor. Compensation is not competitive with local districts, which is alarming considering how little high school teachers make in 2023.

      Work with great people Well knowing in the ed tech world

      Cons

      Restructured and made cut backs. Ask a lot of their teachers and supervisors (and teachers don't make great pay.)

      Pros

      We are trained to do one job and do it really well. Your job description doesn't change from one day to the next. You are intensively and detailed oriented trained to do your one job really well. No one is going to ask you to do something you don't know how to do.

      Cons

      If you have been a long time in person Public School Teacher, TRS does not go with you to STRIDE. If you have Teacher's Retirement, you can roll it into the 401K plan at STRIDE that pays up to 4% matching funds but if you are close to retirement on a TRS point system, you may want to wait until after retirement to start working at STRIDE
