Pros

Compensation is higher than other places.

Cons

If money isn't the only thing that motivates you then you're not likely to be happy here. Psychology safety is low across the company, there's lots of churn, lots of top down directives, lots of thrash and pivoting which is unexpected from a company the size of this one (size based on number of employees). Feels like people operate from a state of "how do I keep my job" vs a state of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, experimentation. There are definitely some gems of people here, but the culture really can wear you down.

Pros

Amazing compensation and benefits offered, truly amazing Working with very smart people who are very driven

Cons

Upper management drives hard, they are a top down "go do" type of company If something is not on time, you will have an Office Space moment with many people asking for updates (it's the 8 bosses type of place) When a manager wants to get to know you, they will ask you about work not who you are This is a culture that cares of speed, speed and more speed...not about reasonable expectations Someone asked what it's like to work at Stripe on Twitter and the best response is that it's a company full of Hermione Granger's, this is very true and not fun for most people
