      Pros

      It is a dynamic company full of intelligent and ambitous people. Most Stripe people are helpful and collaborative.

      Cons

      It is still suffering growing pains, despite not being a start up anymore. Among them, lack of operational consistency, lack of investment in the future of their employees, growing impact of politics in decision making. They prefer to hire boomerangs than give employees tge opportunity to grow internally a good career.

      - Competitive compensation package (at least initially). Over time, I observed the company rehiring former employees impacted by layoffs at noticeably lower compensation levels. - Exposure to colleagues from many countries and cultures, which provided meaningful learning opportunities. - Strong brand recognition and market hype that can be valuable for career visibility. - Frequent travel opportunities for certain roles.

      Cons

      - The culture is highly toxic in many areas, driven by unhealthy internal competition where people advance by undermining others. - Many managers lack leadership experience and are not adequately trained to manage teams, develop talent, or support employee well-being. - Interactions can often feel arrogant and disrespectful, which erodes collaboration and morale. - Employees outside the United States frequently struggle to be heard or taken seriously. In several cases, concerns (including those related to harassment and minority representation) were not treated with appropriate attention.
