Pros

Amazing coworkers, dedicated staff and leadership

Cons

The company is sketchy and will unfortunately likely shut down due to the CEO’s negligence and mismanagement.

Pros

You essentially work at Primavera Online School. The job is straightforward. It's not hard at all once you've gotten used to it. There is little to no micromanaging. You see those movies with a diverse cast of office workers always laughing and having a good time with each other, that's what it is. Your coworkers in the admissions department will be your biggest ally and some of your greatest friends. You are still expected to be a functioning adult in the workforce. There is little to no harmful gossip. Of course, there is some; anyone who has worked for more than a year in their life will tell you there's always some form of gossip. If you can't stay out of it professionally, that's on you, not the company. If you work here for less than 90 days and tell people everyone is out to get you and physically harm you...even people in different buildings...People are gonna talk about it. Especially copy-pasting a nasty review you leave at every single job you've been at for 90 days. Admissions leadership always does their best to support you when you need it, even if they aren't getting much themselves, which is always appreciated. Our new Admissions director has recently done well in helping the department stay in the loop when he can, and is working hard to get changes done asap. I truly think that good things will start coming, and I am sad I will not be there to experience them.

Cons

All that being said, executive leadership stopped caring about Primavera. Which is the building you're in, and how you introduce yourself on the phone. Admissions is severely understaffed, overworked, underpaid, and completely demoralized. It wasn't always like this, but unfortunately, with inflation and a rise in minimum wage, we saw no change. Currently starting pay is 19.50, and in two years we had a 2% company-wide raise, which is almost laughable. A stale pop tart from the vending machine. People have been there for 6+ years and are hardly getting two dollars more. Absolutely zero room for growth. The only growth is the work Execs add on, not considering how it will affect the admissions process (for the worst usually), and certainly not compensated. If you're good, you'll train and not get compensated or promoted. That's not admissions leadership. That's executives. It's a shame at how crucial admissions is and how neglected they are. The job itself is so good, they really have something here, but don't tell your workers they're the face of the company, the frontline, and give them nothing. A pizza party that ADMISSIONS leadership has to pay for out of their own pocket. The yearly "we care about you, bye" every year is a smack in the face.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. Your passion for the admissions team and your teammates is clear, and we’re grateful for the impact you made during your time with us. I want to personally recognize the concerns you raised, especially around staffing, compensation, and feeling heard and we are not ignoring them. While the last few years brought many challenges, we're actively working to rebuild and reinvest in the teams who make our mission possible. That includes more open dialogue, smarter systems, and improved support for frontline staff. We are not perfect, but what we are is committed to doing better and to fulfilling our mission to serve students and families for years to come. —Noelle Creamer Chief People Officer
